Hi Dan! I am looking for information about some Blacklocks that were originally from Roxburghshire, Scotland. Some of the children emmigrated to Canada and some to the US. This family starts with John Blacklock (b. 1772) and Margaret Scott (b. 1779), both in Scotland. Here are their children, spouses and children that I know of (The children were all born in Scotland)
William B., b. 27 Feb 1805- married Margaret Turnbull
Janet B., b. 21 April 1807- married John Telfer. Died in 1851 in Canada.
Walter B., b. 30 Dec 1808- Married Betty Nichol abt. 1832. Children: William (b. 1833) and James (b. 1836)[James married a woman named Genette from Canada]
Also married JEan Millican- children- Agnes (b. 1850) and Walter (b. 1853)
Hannah , b. 12 May 1812-Died in 1827
MArgaret- b. 11 Feb 1815- Married John Lauder, 1842 in Scotland
Agnes - b. 1817- married Daniel Davidson, in 1841 in Scotland.
I believe that part of the family moved to Ontario. DO you or anyone have more information on this line? I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks!
