Blackley Family VA to TN (US)

I’m trying to connect the roots of the Blackley Family of VA and TN. The earliest U.S. info I have is P. Blackley, Captain of the “Expedition” in 1635. Next I have William Blackley buying land on the Charles River/ York County, VA in 1640. In 1680 they appear in Middlesex County, VA. For the next 300 years they can be found all over the state. My “identified” clan begins in Albemarle County, VA with George W. Blackley in 1808. From there, this family moves to Staunton, VA. I have a letter written in 1898, by George I. Blackley (1846-1930), Attorney, of Bristol, TN, to his “brother” James H. Blackley (1836-1927) of Staunton, VA. This connects the two clans. In the letter he mentions Marion L. Blackley, an attorney in Bristol, (1840-1904) in a casual way, as if he is another brother, or cousin. Help me connect the dots- judworth@yahoo.com
