In the Jones Co., 1850 MS census there is alot of Blackledges listed. One is Zachariah, 44 years old, Rachael, 41 years old, Thomas, 62 years old, Martha, 47 years old and 8 children. Also in Jones Co. there is a John Blackledge 56 years old, born in SC, a Methodist Preacher. Also Elmira, 41 years old and assorted children. There are several more families of Blackledges. You can find this census record in the MS GenWeb site.
