Hi Steve

Just seen your post on this site. I have just found out that one of my distant relatives (by marriage) was married to a Blackledge in Newport, Gwent (or Monmouthshire as it was then). My relation was one John C BOYNS (b. 1853), he married a Mary Ellen Blackledge (b. 1853) in ?1874 at St Nicholas, Liverpool. They had 3 children that I know of (Arthur, Alfred and Florence). I think she died not long after Florence was born. Mary does not appear on the 1901 census but her sister, Emma (b. 1866), does and she had by then married John BOYNS. They lived at 57 St Edwards Street, St Woollas, Monmouth. Hope this is of use to you.

Regards

Margaret
