I have been researching the Danforth Blackinton family for some time. This is what I know about the Eugene Blackinton
Branch:
Eugene E. Blackinton born 3/25/1854, son of Danforth B. and Louisa (Webster)Blackinton, died 11/9/1897 as a result of a burst appendix. He married twice, first to Luette Davis and second to Etta Burns. Both Eugene and his first wife are buried in East Union Cemetery, Union Maine.
Their son, Ernest Danforth Blackinton lived in New Hampshire in his early life, where he met and married Bertha R. Crain in Warner, NH on 11/22/1906. He later moved to the Groton, CT area around WWI. Ernest and
Bertha had at least the following children:
Thelma Luette Blackinton 1908-1978
Everett E. Blackinton 1909-1966
Beulah Ernestine Blackinton 1914-1981
Ernest died 8/13/1970 in Groton, CT, while Bertha died in April of 1983. Both are buried in Starr Cemetery in Groton, CT.
