Mel, as a followup, I just found where Ernest and Bertha's daughter Thelma was married to a CARTER, and she was born 20 Mar 1908; died 10 Jun 1978 and is buried in Starr Cem.

Also, this cemetery data gives Ernest's birth date as 19 Jul 1881,and his death date as 12 Aug 1970 (where you provided 13 Aug 1970), and Bertha's death date as 24 Apr 1983.
