I purchased the subject undated RPPC (Real Photo Postcard) (not postally used) depicting a middle-aged man, signed across the front:

Charles F. Blackburn, born Apr 1856 in MO, was the son of a farmer, Edward L. Blackburn (1820-1901), and Harriet (maiden name unknown) (1829-). He married Elva Davidson Gans (1870-1955). The couple had two children: Lamar Francis Blackburn (1891-1930) and LeGrand Lewis Blackburn (1893-1975).
Charles was employed as a geologist, mining expert, and miner.
