Emeline BLACKBURN was born May 1861 in Georgia and died in 1910. She married Jesse Walton BLACKSTONE in 1882, place unknown. She is found in 1900 census in Athens, Clark County, Georgia and is listed with her children: Inez (1897-1987), Maggie (1885-), Jesse (1892-1934), Frank Carlton (1888-1967)and Flory.
Emeline is my wife's great-grandmother, her grandmother is Inez. I am searching for Emeline's parents. I found a Elijah Lig BLACKBARN (~1835-), in the 1880 census, District 119, Richmond, Georgia, who has a daughter Emeline and who may or may not be the correct father of our Emeline.
Jesse Walton BLACKSTONE (4 Sep 1861-1952)is the son of Martin Van Buren BLACKSTONE Sr. (1838-1930) and Sarah UNKNOWN (1840-1896). Martin's parents were James BLACKSTONE (abt 1794-1885) and Rebecca NEWMAN (abt 1800-aft 1880).
If anyone has any information on Emeline BLACKBURN, please let me know. I would be happy to share information on any of the descendents.
