I would like to know who Elizabeth Ann Blackard's father was - LEVI or JEREMIAH. The following DAR lineage shows the wife of James Williamson PAINE to have died in 1858.

Mrs. Stella F. Hodshier Crissman
DAR ID Number: 77188
Born in Dallas County, Mo.
Wife of George Crissman.
Descendant of William Paine, of North Carolina.
1.... Daughter of John Thomas Hodshier (1844-1907) and Mary Catherine Paine (b. 1848), his wife, m. 1865.
2....Granddaughter of James Williamson Paine (1815-86) and Eliza Ann Blackard (d. 1858), his wife, m. 1836.
3....Gr-granddaughter of Harden Paine (1784-1865) and Nancy Bumpass (d. 1861), his wife, m. 1807.
4....Gr-gr-granddaughter of William Paine (1751-1814) and Prudence Bumpass (b. 1762), his wife, m. 1781.
William Paine (1751-1814) served as a private in the Northern regiment, Orange County, N. C., under Major John Paine and Col. James Saunders. He was born in Granville County; died in Person County, N. C.

TIA,
Reva Bradford
