I am looking for a William Block, possibly Black, in Fayette/Fayetteville District, Cumberland Co, NC in 1786.
My 4x great uncle, James Williamson, a minor, was by court order indentured to Mr. Block/Black after the death of his father, Thomas Williamson (died: 1782). His mother, Barbara or Barbary, continued to care for James' younger sister, Sarah "Sally" Williamson, who was also ordered indentured to Mr. Block/Black but remained with her mother.
Possibly Mr. Block/Black was a relative.
All help much appreciated.
