I'm not sure what you mean by "DT6 format". A BK6 database consists of a number of files. Several files have the DT6 extension. I assume that you are trying to copy your database to a USB drive as a backup. I suggest that you try copying ALL the files from the "Data" directory to your backup device. To restore you only need to copy them all back again.
