Splitting a Database
Posted by: AL WOPSHALL (ID *****8831) Date: July 07, 2010 at 13:39:21

When splitting a database where an ancestor has multiple spouses, only family and descendants of the spouse who is the direct ancestor are counted. The families of the other spouses are dropped and can only be picked by doing a range sort.

I’ve tried sorting by “Entire branch”, “Ancestors of a person” and “Ancestors of a person” with similar results. This may not be a big deal but I try to keep families together where I can find them and sequential numbering works best for me.

Is there a sort solution that will account for ALL ancestors of a person and all descendants of the ancestors?

Thanks, Al
