Hello Cousin, It's great to "meet" you! My husband, Doug, sends those greetings, as do I.

Thanks so much for the Bizzell genealogy, much of it is new to me and answers many questions. As with all good info, it also creates other questions--this family searching is a great occupation.

Do you know where Raiford Bizzell and Mary Bennett Bizzell are buried? My information for them was sent to me by a wonderful lady in Hardeman County and was for the 1860 census. I had figured there were probably children older than John R. but did not know for sure. The 1860 census info that I received had listed Mary as widowed by 1860 so I was surprised to see that Raiford lived until 1896. Your data matches other info I have: "At the settlement of Raiford Bizzell's estate in June 1896, W.T. McKee was the admr." I had wondered why the estate was so long in being settled.

I have just heard from another lady in Hardeman County that what is now, or has recently been, called McKee Cemetery was actually started as a Bizzell Family Cemetery. She said it was started in the yard of a Bizzell Family. I have sent an email to her asking for more info but haven't heard yet. When my husband and I made our first visit to this cemetery a few weeks ago I was very excited to see that there appeared to be a number of unmarked graves and I thought it would be my "lost" McKee's, now wonder if they are, in fact, our "lost" Bizzell's. I have pictures if you would want me to scan and send to you.

Do you know if Civil Grantham Bizzell perhaps married a Bizzell after the death of Thomas Nov 29 1816? Another genealogy also listed Martin as her son born 1829 and Henry born afterwards in 1830.

Have you done any research on the Bennett Family?

I have speculated that Sarah J. Bizzell, born 1848, to Raiford and Mary married James H. McKee, born ca 1848, first born son of William Thomas McKee and Kiziah Sellers McKee. Believe they married 2 Oct 1867 at Hardeman County and that James possibly died before 1875 and Sarah married W.L. Crawford Feb 1875. Don't have proof of this just speculation mostly.

Andrew Franklin Bizzell, born 1853, to Raiford and Mary, married Amanda McKee, born 1855, d/o W.T. and Kiziah McKee. (I had not known his given name before your message.) They ended up in Lauderdale County TN-don't have how or when they went there, only that Amanda died in 1924 at Ripley. Have just received her death certificate from the State of Tennessee. Would also send you a copy if you want it.

The Sellers genealogy that I have to date is that Kiziah is the daughter of Keziah (possibly surname Downing) Sellers, age 72 years at the 1850 census, born NC. Keziah's husband, possibly William Sellers of Duplin Co NC 1830 census, was said to have died shortly after arrival in TN ca 1833. Keziah was listed as HOH on 1840 census. Keziah also had a daughter, Kerenhappuch, listed as having married Thomas Arrington Thomson at Hardeman County and died May 4 1890 at Tuscumbia, Miller Co Missouri. I haven't gotten to researching this side of the family yet.

I will stop for now, again thanks for the help. Linda McKee from the foothills of the Ozark Mountains south of Heber Springs Arkansas.
