Well after 15 years I finally found more info on Jacob B. BIXLER who was born @1792 in Pennsylvania and went to Amite County Miss. He married Matida Barclay in 1812 and in 1820 they resided in Amite Co. Miss. In 1830 they are in East Feliciana Parish Louisiana. In 1840 Matilda Barclay BIXLER is alone in Pike Co. Miss. She is there in 1841 & 1845. In 1850 Pike Co. Miss. she is in house-hold of Harrison Burnet and wife Latitia Burnet and their 8 month old son, William H. Burnet. Another person in the house-hold is 32 year old Matilda Nettles. Matilda BIXLER is 57 years old . Was Latitia Burnet & Matilda Nettles daughters of Matilda BIXLER? In 1860 Matilda BIXLER is on the Mortality Index for Pike Co. Miss. age 68 and says born Louisiana. I am still looking for the parents of Jacob B. BIXLER..did they also go to Feliciana Parish Louisiana? Jacob B. BIXLER & Matilda Barclay had at least 8 children but I have only found 3 of them. 1. William David BIXLER, he is inAmite Co. Miss. in 1859. 2. Lavenia BIXLER, she married Henry Sandel Jan. 3, 1833 in East Feliciana Par. LA. 3. John Barclay BIXLER, born 1819 and he marries Lydia Ann Brown in 1842 E. Baton Rouge Parish La. They move to Bossier Parish in 1867. John is my line. Do you have BIXLER people in Louisiana or Mississippi? If so, please contact me. Thanks, Kay
