Forrest-
Our Bivens fanily reunion is held or was held in the big park at Texarkana, Tx. The family that we know of meets usually every year there or at the community center. I've only been once since we married.
Is your family any relation to ours? My husbands g-father came to Tx from NC about 1869 by mule train and settled in Bonham Co. Telephone is where they are buried near the church. His name was John William Bivens and he is buried in Bonham Co. at Leonard. He had 7 or 8 brothers and sisters. His Bible had all this info in it, but a house fire lost it in the ashes. So, we don't have any idea who his family is or where they came from. John was born in Charlotte, NC Sept.19,1858- Died Dec. 7,1942 in Leonard, Tx. He married Lorena Moore Dec 15, 1880. Any body seem familiar?
