Hello Bev,
I am researching the Haysom and Meddings family along with Keith Meddings who has been trying to contact you. We believe Samuel's wife, Emma, was Emma Meddings who went to Canada in 1883 as part of a Barnardo's scheme from an orphanage in England. Her sister Eliza and mother, Jane later went to Canada to join her when they were able. We are very keen to find out what happened to Emma after her arrival in Canada and only discovered her marriage in the last few weeks. Her mother's maiden name was Meddings. Happy to share outr family tree with you.
