I assume you are talking about Bittle/Bledsoe family?
I have some info on Bittle family of Van Buren Co AR
during the Civil War. This Bittle family came out of
NC to KY, then to Illinois. Some stayed there, but three
brothers moved to NW Arkansas and are on the
1840 census of Van Buren Co - Giles township.
One of them was married to a Polly Stone in KY,
she died and in Arkansas he remarried to a
Charlotte Turney.
If interested in this line, be glad to share.
Most of them were in the 10th AR INF CSA and at battle
of Shiloh. They were captured near New Orleans and
parolled. Went back to AR and joined the
10th AR CAV CSA - more of a mounted infantry unit.
This unit was with Price on campaign thru MO and KS.
Most of them captured at Ft Scott Kansas.
