Hi George,
I really can't say. I haven't been able to catch on to many of the Ray line.
I have:
John Gilbert Ray b-1803 in Ireland
married (2 AUG 1840 at Saint John, NB) to
Margaret Elizabeth Bissett b-1818

children:
Elizabeth
Martha b-1843
Robert Edwin b-1846
married to Hannah Elizabeth, then Isabella
Martin b-1847
married to Agnes Hannah Connely 20 DEC 1871
Rebecca Margaret (ours) b-1849-1934
married to John Burgess about 1870 in NB
William b-1853
James b-1855
Isabella b-1858

I have a good outcome for Rebecca's line, but little else. Your John Gilbert may be the grandson or great-grandson through one of these boys, but I have nothing. If anything is right for you, let me know.
Regards,
Dan Fetters
