My great-great-grandmother was Caroline Bishop who married Daniel Hopkins. They lived at Greenwood Lake, N.J. all their lives. Caroline was the daughter of Charles and Mary Kimble Bishop. Charles & Mary had at least 11 children: Abner, Susan, John, Mary, Charles, Eliza, William, Hannah, Benjamin, Caroline & Munson?. There were marriages with Sisco, Hopkins and more. Caroline was born in 1848. The 1920 Census for Passaic County, N.J. has Caroline living with her daughter and son-in-law Charles Latta. Caroline states her father was born in England. I would like more information about Charles. Was he born in
England or Wisconsin? Until the war of 1812, I believe that Wisconsin was part of a British territory. With the number of children Charles and Mary had in New Jersey, I am hoping to find a genealogist among them!
