Bischoff Family Genealogy Forum

Howdy, Mrs. Kimbrell, and thanks for the info on Sgt. Bischoff. If there's any way you could get a picture of him, I'd very much like to have one. Maybe a copy of a photo from your high school yearbook or even an old newspaper photo. Since tommorrow is Veterans' Day, please give my thanks to your husband for his service. I take pride in the fact that my family has fought in every major war in this country's history, and a few minor wars as well. All gave some and some gave all. War is war, whether it was the Revolution, the War for Southern Independence, World War II or any of the Indian Wars, men died serving this country. So "minor" was probably not the best term to use. Also, where in the great state of Georgia do you live? My European ancestors settled in Georgia in the 1740s and settled here in Columbus in 1828, the year it was settled on the site of a Creek Indian village. In April of the following year, one of my GGG-GFathers and two of his brothers married three Creek sisters. I've never lived anywhere else.
