Are you Lynette Louise Smith? If so, you are my half third cousin. Do you have a copy of the Ancil Birt Family 1826-1998, compiled by Maxine Short? That's where I got most of my information about the Birt family. It has some errors but was very helpful. Maxine is a real sweetheart, too. It's been awhile since I talked to her last.

If you don't have a copy of the book, or even if you do, I can send you an outline of the descendants of Ancil Birt. Here's an outline of my branch.

Richard Biddle Baker & Sarah Catherine Birt
James Monroe Baker, Sr. & Lillie Maud Fletchall
James Monroe Baker, Jr. & Hadie Mae Mansell
Linda Lee Baker (ME) & Ronald Erland
