Dear Fellow Birts,

I have just discovered this forum and would like to do some research into my paternal family. My father was Arthur William Birt, and all his family came from in and around Cheltenham. The name George and William reoccurs with great regularity in our family. My father was Arthur son of William son of George son of William and if I am correct he was the son of a George Birt born in Painswick in 1859. I am a total novice at genealogy but I would be glad to hear from any Birts for whom this might ring a bell. Paul Birt
