Esther Birt daughter of Isaiah Birt was married 18 Sep 1800 at Newland Forest of Dean to Thomas Nicholson. The Nicholsons came from Devonport where they were a well-documented Baptist family. Thomas and Esther had 3 daughters and one son and the boy, also called Thomas, was born in Coleford on 13 April 1805. He was my mother's grandfather and an interesting character.
I have much of the Nicholson family tree but it is recorded in great detail in "Nicholson Nicolson" a compilation of family trees by the Rev Nigel Nicholson published by the Nicholson Family Library, The Rectory, Cranleigh, Surrey GU6 8AS.
