We are both looking for the same person!
My mother and her 2 cousins have been looking for DOROTHY GWENDOLINE BIRT for 50 years, have you any clues, do you know the name of the man she married in Allahabad in '46, there is some family dispute on this subject, it could be DAVID MYERS or MAYERS, or MILES,or any variations on that theme!
Dorothy, Maureen and Olga are sisters, who, I believe, came to live with my Mum's family in Asansol following the death of their mother, MYRTLE, and their father's (MELVILLE) re-marriage, the family came to England about 1947, after Dorothy left with her husband, and seemingly disappeared from the face of the earth.
My apologies if you have heard all this before, it is possible that my 2nd cousin, Maureen, has already been in touch with you.
I would love to hear from you, if you have time to reply, thanks for reading this far,
warmest regards
Lynette Shaw McKone.
