Recently went to Ireland and stayed in Milltown with the Birminghams. Quite interesting question was asked by Frank Birmingham was my Birminghams from Shanballymore or Addagoole
Mine were from where his was and when I met him I could not get over how much of my mother I saw in him. I must be from his side because all three of the family members said I look like a cousin. It was a very interesting trip
I found a grave and sent for the records and family story was that my grandmother came from Cork (which the Carroll family did) and my grandmother was born in Galway. the death record stated that the son on the stone died in Cork. He was a dentist. I thinking her mom went back to Cork to be with the Carrolls. I'm going back and this time I will be driving. My husband would not drive we took the trains and buses.
