Robert BIRLEW b. abt. 1822 NC; m. Tabitha ROBINS/ROBERTS/BOYD b. abt. 1822 TN. This family was in Dekalb Co., TN. in 1850.....Missouri in 1856-1859.....and Allen Co., KS. abt. 1860.

Their children were:
1. Lafayette b. 1844 TN.; m. John Anna Grace PEAY.
2. Thomas b. 1845 TN.; (nothing further known).
3. Mary Amanda b. 1847 TN.; m. ? WOODCOCK.
4. Emeline b. 1849 TNl; m. James A. PHILLIPS.
5. Charles Augustus b. 1852 KS.; m. Ida Jane NEELY.
