Would be interested in finding anyone who is researching the BIRKETT name in South Africa.
My William & Hannah (Burrow) BIRKETT emigrated to Capetown in 1833 from Manchester. They appear to have been born in the Kendal area of Westmorland. I have obtained many BIRKETT death certs. from South Africa with birthplaces given for places in Westmorland & Northumberland.
