I have been researching my brother-in-laws Birkbeck ancestors, one of which - Jonathan Turner Birkbeck b 1825 - emigrated to the US in 1865, and to whom you may be connected.
Your forum posting mentions your brother Richard and his wife Josie, who I believe submitted a photograph of the three granddaughters of Jonathan, to a genealogy magazine in 1996.
Hoping this reaches you. . . some 9 years late I know!
