Hi Jerry,
I found the information about the South Carolina Birges through OneGreatFamily and through a census I found online. I can't put my hands on that census right now or I'd send it to you. I think it was a Gwinnett County census.
I was searching for William R.'s father. There is about a 3-5 year window during which I think Ransley may have fathered William R. in Georgia. I found William S. in South Carolina and hoped that his family might have records of William R. since he would have been a child when Ransley passed.
