You are seeking another grandson of "old" George Birdwell (c1720). The George (1791) being discussed in the earlier postings was born in GA and was the son of Moses Birdwell (1769).
The George Birdwell you are seeking is the cousin of that other George. Your George was born about 1794 in TN, he was the son of Joseph Birdwell (1767). There has been a great deal of research into this George's line. Personally, I don't have documentation proving Eliza Jane (1828 to 1893) as his daughter. However, I believe Rusk Co, TX does have probate records for his estate. These probably are the documents you'll need.
Regarding the wife of George (c1794). Elizabeth Armstrong RUSSELL was her maiden name. After George's death she and some of her kids moved up to Tarrant Co, TX. She is found on their tax rolls 1861 - 1867. She died there in 1867 and is buried just south of Ft Worth in the Crowley, TX cemetery.
