Ann, I'm a descendant of Moses and have a fair amount of info on him. I will gladly share what I have. However, the specifics are fuzzy at best regarding his death and burial. One family's tradition has it that Moses and some of the younger kids moved from Alabama to Texas in the late 1840's. There is ample reason and evidence to believe this was true. Some of Moses older kids had already been in Texas for a decade (George c.1791, and Zach c1800). Then the 1850 census does list several of his "younger" kids in Hopkins Co, TX. Unfortunately though, nobody has found any documentation on exactly when or where Moses died or was buried. Presumably it was somewhere on the land owned by either George, Zach, or one of his grandkids. Get in touch if you'd like to exchange notes. Regards, Weldon Notify Administrator about this message?
