Hello Lorrie, I noticed that you live in Mena, AR. My Campbell's are from Mena. I am also looking for information on a Mary Birdsong that married Thomas Thomason. Mary & Thomas had 2 children that I know of, Columbus Melton and Helen. Mary was said to have died when the children were abt. 2 & 3 years old. So she would have died abt. 1900 probably in Johnson Co., AR. Columbus was adopted by Hiram Wesley & Rhoda Elizabeth (Vaught) Campbell and Helen was adopted by Dr. William Henry Mooney and his wife. Columbus was raised there in Mena and buried at Nunley Cemetery along with his wife Letha Mitchell and several of their children (including my father-in-law; William Campbell). Any help with information on Mary Birdsong, the Thomason's, or the adoption would greatly be appreciated.
