FOR CLAUDUS AND H.D. ...........
I have a Mary Willie Birdsong b. May 6, 1884 at possibly Griffin, Spalding Co, GA. She was the sister of my g.grandfather, Lewis Leab "Bid" Birdsong b.1874 in Griffin. Mary's parents were Emmett Yuille Birdsong and Molly Parker Hunt. Emmett's parents were George Lawrence Forsyth Birdsong and Susan Francis Thweatt. George's parents were Benejah Birdsong and Arra Ann Reese Clark. Benejah's parents were John Birdsong and Elizabeth Latimer.
I have no further information on Mary Willie Birdsong, except that she was the 9th of 11 children born to Emmett and Molly. I do have the names, birth, and death dates for all of the children. My g.grandparents, Lewis Leab "Bid" Birdsong and Julia Ann Williamson Birdsong, left Griffin, Spalding Co, GA in abt 1902 en route to Cherokee Co, TX where they lived until their deaths (Lewis d. 1934 and Julia d. 1961). I don't know what happened to Mary or her other siblings. My g. aunt, Mary Weimer Birdsong, was named after Mary Willie and Susan Weimer (an older sister to Mary Willie).
I wonder if this could be your Mary, H.D.???
