Major John Birdsong

Major John Birdsong, born 1733 in VA, served in the American Revolution in North Carolina fighting Col. Fanning and the Tories. As such, he is a very desirable ancestor to gain entrance into Daughters of the American Revolution or the Sons of the American Revolution. Major John has numerous descendants descending from his sons, John b. 1762, William b. 1764, Henry b. 1769 and Jesse b. 1774, to say nothing of his several daughters.

My research of the Birdsong name has not discovered any person that has used these sons as a route to Maj. John in their quest for membership into DAR/SAR. I am interested in communicating with those or you who have or could claim Major John Birdsong as an ancestor.
