I am attempting to trace my grandfather's roots. His name was Aven Anderson Birdsong. I don't know much about him as he died when I was four in Poplar Bluff, MO. He was a mason by trade. I'm attempting to establish his Cherokee Indian heritage through a registry or any kind of geneology. He was married to Maudie Alice Mallady. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
