Elvy Ann was the daughter of Mary Goins and Sion Skipper, who married on Sept. 18, 1830 in Lowndes Co., AL. Sion was the son of Temperance ? and Barnabus Skipper. Sion and his many children can be found in the 1850 Al census for Butler Co. Elvy was born the following year in March. Five of Sion's children moved to Texas:
Mary married John Robert Brewer on October 20, 1859. They moved to Collins Co. TX right after the war. Willliam R. married Sarah Moore on Dec. 3, 1857. William died in Gregg Co. Texas and is buried in the Danville Cemetary near Kilgore. Silas also moved to Texas ( no other info.). Daniel Wesley married Lucindy Cumbie on Oct 11, 1866. Daniel died in Hawkins (Wood County) Tx on Sept 11, 1873.
This is all I have on Elvy Ann. I do have a little more information on the brothers listed above. The ones that stayed in Al are in the census'.
