My ggrandfather was john J. Birdsong, born 1831 (possibly in Twiggs County, Ga). I have found where he served in the Civil War starting in Twiggs County, Ga. I believe his father was Thomas Jackson Birdsong, born 12 Sep 1807 and died in 1860, in Twiggs Co., GA. Thomas Jackson Birdsong was first married in 1830 and had five (5) children. He later married in 1846, in GA and had five (5) children. Can anyone give me any information on these children.
