Goody Birdsall - Wife of Nathan Birdsall?
I found this quite some time ago but let it go, but I finally thought I'd give it some mention here. But for the slip of a quill it is possible that historians have made some mention of Nathans wife.
In 1657 Goody Birdsall was mentioned in a occurrence of a witch trial that took place in Connecticut, but the incident took place in East Hampton where Nathan was living at the time.Unfortunately the name "Goody" is more a title than a name, "Goody" could have applied to most any woman at the time.
According to my Records there was most likely only one woman that could have been called "Goody" Birdsall in 1657, and that woman would have been Nathan' wife.
We know that Henry was a widower and that by this time in 1657 Judith would now be called Judith Cook. This only leaves the wife of Nathan.
I wonder if the old hand written documents could be looked at again to see if there were any names that could be gleaned from them.
