In the April 7, 1847 probate records of Elizabeth Sampson will in Platte County, Missouri, there is a reference to "Lorenzo D. Bird as per Bill $2.51." This entry is on a list of expenses turned in by the executor, between the bill for her coffin and clothing for a family member. This may be the same Lorenzo D. Bird who had a land patent in Platte County in 1850. Mrs. Sampson's farm was about 4 miles NNW of Weston, MO.
