Robert F. Birchfield
Robert F. Birchfield, 73, of Litchfield, died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2001 at his home.
He was born Feb. 9, 1928 in Walkerton, Indiana to Walker and Alka (Fraley) Birchfield. In 1955, he married Gloria Wilbur.
He served in the U.S. Army. In 1979, he retired from the former Albion Metal Products Company. He enjoyed fishing in Michigan rivers and the Gulf of Mexico.
Survivors include his wife, Gloria; two daughters: Kathy (Larry) Sanders of Litchfield, and Linda (Paul) Dettenwanger of Independence, Missouri; two sons: Robert (Marilyn) Birchfield of Kansas City, Missouri, and Aaron Birchfield of Texas; three sisters: Catherine Woods of Homer, Lucy Dudek of Fayetteville, South Carolina, and Shirley (Fred) Dale of Pleasant Lake, Indiana; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
Funeral arrangements were handled by the George White Funeral Home in Litchfield.
Memorial donations may be made to the lung association.
