FREDERICK H. REDMAN, son of GEORGE and MARY REDMAN, was born Oct. 27, l859, at Dyersville, Dubuque County, Iowa, and died Jan. 2, l925, at the St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, aged 65 years, 2 months and 5 days. He was united in marriage to MAYETTE HAMILTON on Christmas Day, l88l, at Leon, Iowa. To this union were born three children, SETTA JANE BRANNAMAN and TRESSA MAY WEISS, of Mt. Vernon, Iowa, and GEORGE FRANKLIN, of Grand River, Iowa, all of whom survive him and were with him during his last sickness. His wife died July 5, l888, at their home near Crown, Iowa. MR. REDMAN had spent most of his life in Decatur County. The last few years he had spent with his two daughters at Mt. Vernon, Iowa. He was a member of the M.E. Church at Leon.
He leaves to mourn their loss, his three children, six grandchildren, one brother, W.B. REDMAN, of Grand River, Iowa; one sister, MRS. JOHN LEFFLER, of Leon, Iowa; three half-brothers, GEORGE, BERT and BEN REDMAN, and one half-sister, MRS. CORA BINNING, all of Van Wert, Iowa, besides other relatives and friends.
Rev. J.E. Habliston, Pastor of the Leon Methodist Church, conducted funeral services Sunday afternoon, Jan. 4th, at the Van Wert Methodist Church. Burial was at the Shy Cemetery.
