I am seeking documentation on the families of Moses and Aaron Dean and their wives. Davidson County, Tennessee, Marriage Book 1 records these marriages: Groom Bride Bond date Bondsman page no. Dean Aaron Narcissa Binkley 5/2/1829 John B. Demonbreun 366 Dean Aaron Jane Binkley 11/3/1825 William Vick 304 Dean Moses Mary Binkley 10/15/1827 John B. Demumbry 336 To the best of my knowledge the parents of these Binkley women are unknown. It has been said that Jane, aka Mary Jane, wife of Aaron Dean, Sr., was the widow of Jacob Binkley, b. 1766, that her maiden name was Moss, and that she was born in Georgia. I know of no public record that supports this. In any case, the Jacob Binkley born in 1766 is believed to have died before the birth of his brother, also named Jacob, in 1772. Aaron Dean, Sr., Aaron, Jr., and Moses moved with their families to Crawford, later Phelps, Co., MO between 1840 and 1850. Dean descendants have posted that Mary and Narcissa were the daughters of Mary Jane by Jacob but have posted no documentation. I understand that there is a Dean family Bible that contains some names and dates. Aaron Dean, Jr., who married Narcissa Binkley, subsequently married Rachael Alley, widow of Alexander Alley, in Phelps Co., MO. I have determined that this is the same Rachel Binkley who married Alexander Alley on 7 August 1842 in Robertson County, TN. Her parents are also unknown. Any help documenting these Deans and Binkleys appreciated. Notify Administrator about this message?
