Looking for the parents of James Binkley born 1798 died 1867 Ashaland City TN. Married Lucinda Smith 18 DEC 1826 Davidson Co TN. There were 8 children Adam, Mary, Frank, George, Levingston, Lavine, Martha, and Angline. I hope to prove or disprove connection to the Peter/Adam Binkley line. We may be from the Black Binkley line.

The only connection I can make to the Peter/Adam line is the fact that James' oldest son is named Adam. There is an old tradition that the oldest son is named after the fathers father.

I know there has been a lot of good work on the Binkleys. I hope someone out there can shed some light on this lost twig.
