Elaine
Here is how my Binkley geneology goes.
Hans Michael Binggelli (Binkley) b. 1670, Canton Berne Switzerland d. 1713- Swit. married Elizabeth Burri on 20 October 1693 in Canton Berne.
Their son Hans Michael b. 1712 in Walhern Canton Berne d. 27 Mar 1775 in Berks Co. PA married Maria Juliana (No last name known.
Their son Christian Binkley b. 21 April 1738 d. 21 June 1832 in Washington Co. Maryland married Elizabeth Reid in Hagerstown.
Their child was Adam Binkley b. 1779 d. 1 Aug 1861 in Perry Co. Ohio m. Maria Magdelena Anspach b. 20 May 1785, Berks Co., PA d. 20 Jul 1854.
Then down to Nancy Binkley who married William Clum.
There are some questions about which Christian Binkley is really the true ancestor. THere are at least two that I know of and if you check out the messages about Christians it really gets hairy. You've got Christian married to Elizabeth Burri so there may be another Christian yet that is in the mold somewhere. My sister says that your Peter is probably the brother of our Hans. So I am not real sure how the relationship goes. So it is possible that Elizabeth married both men I guess., Or since the information for both men are alike maybe they are one in the same. This is a very confusing line to work on. I will keep trying to sort it out and let you know. And if you find out anything else please let me know.
