That's interesting about hqving to spell Bingham where you are now. I hope and all the descendants of Erastus Bingham, Utah pioneer, become familiar with Erastus' maternal grandfather Capt David Perry who wrote his autobiography Recollections of an Old Soldier speaking particularly to his posterity.

Recollections is still online at the Captain David Perry Web Site. Google the term:

Hope you can stop by and read Capt David Perry's whole book. And pass he information on to your Bingham family and other descendants you MIGHT find where you are.
