Dear Theanne,

Your family history sounds interesting and since it is new to me, would love to have your family represented on the Bingham dna project.

A quick explanation is in order. The dna is y-chromosome, meaning the test must be done on a Bingham male. The y chromosome is passed from father to son. It will be the same going back into time, as well as going forward in time. Each family name that is tested would have to be a male of that surname.

Females can have their mtdna tested but it passed from female to female.

Please read more about this project at www.familytreedna.com. As a female, you can purchase a kit to have your male Bingham take the test.

Sincerely,
Linda Bingham Gardner
