Kitty,
I have a William Bingaman born June 1845 in Uniontown (Now Pillow) Pa but he did not have a brother John that I know of.
He was in the union army.
Name: William Bingaman
Enlistment Date: 07 October 1862
Distinguished Service: DISTINGUISHED SERVICE
Side Served: Union
State Served: Pennsylvania
Unit Numbers: 2314 2314
Service Record: Enlisted as a Private on 07 October 1862
Enlisted in Company G, 57th Infantry Regiment Pennsylvania on 07 October 1862.
Transferred Company G, 57th Infantry Regiment Pennsylvania on 01 April 1865
Transfered in on 01 April 1865

He did nove to Nebraska with his brother in law Jefferson Andre and his sister Catharine Bingaman about 1880 and settled in Furnas Co, Nebraska
