According to census data, he was born in Ohio. He's in the 1850 and 1860 censuses in Adams Township, but disappears in the 1870 census. Only Catharine and some of the children are listed in 1870. Does anyone know when and where he died or info about Catharine's death? She is still living in the 1900 census with her son William.
