Thanks for the note. I am a great great great grandson of Nicholas. My line goes down thru the son of Nicholas John b. 1825 and then Catharine b. 1847 the daughter of John. Catharine married in 1865 Jefferson Andre of Uniontown (now Pillow) and moved to Nebraska about 1880 along with her brother William b 1846 and his family. My grand mother Sarah Cordelia Andre daughter of Jefferson and Catharine was born in Uniontown (now Pillow) in 1873.
I had a great visit to Dauphin and Northumberland last month and found the grave sites of both Nicholas and John Bingaman.
I could not find the grave site of Johannes b 1754 the father of Nicholas. He is reported to be buried in the west end of the old section of Stone Valley Church cemetery. I looked but could not find it. Do you have any information on this?
I also found my Andre relatives buried in Grand View Cemetary in Pillow (Uniontown).
