I made a trip to Lower Mahanoy Twp Northumberland Co, Pa to look for Bingamans Evangelical Church and found that it does still exist.
The church is located at the corner of New Road and Manhantango Creek Road. This is just west of an area that used to be called County Line. The Church has a sign inset into the face of the building indicating that it is the Trinity Evangelical Church. It is currently called the Trinity United Methodist Church.
There is a small cemetery at the back of the Church which has several Bingaman families buried within.
This inculudes Nicholas Bingaman b. Nov 28, 1798 d. June 10, 1860, son of John Bingaman b. 1754 the Hessian Soldier.Next to Nicholas is his wife Mary b Oct 15, 1801 d. Aug 11, 1883, and daughter Catharine b Mar 3, 1822 d. Jan 21 1861 wife of John Underkofler.
Also found was William W Bingaman, son of Nicholas, b Apr 8, 1836 d. Feb 21, 1920 and his wife Mary b Sept 3, 1834 d July 31, 1887.
Also found was Ben F Bingamn, son of William W, b Jan 2, 1868 d Aug 25, 1955 and his wife Jennie L b June 30, 1872 D Dec 27, 1939 and their son Harry b Mar 28, 1900 d Mar 29, 1918.
Also found was Elias Bingaman, son of Nicholas, b Oct 12, 1837 d. Aug 15, 1916 and his wife Lucinda b Mar 24, 1835 d. Feb 28, 1904
Also found was Charles B Bingaman unknown connection to the above b July 14, 1875 d July 31, 1899 and his wife Annie S B 1875 d 1918.
There is an additional row of stones that face a hedge row and I could not read the face of the stones.
The church faces to the south with a great view over Manhantango Creek to Manhantango mountain.Mifflin Twp Dauphin County lies across the creek.
